A New Beginning

We’re doubling down.

For far too long, Islanders fans have had to go to great lengths to find a place where they can listen — and talk — about their favorite hockey team.

We grew up here. We know how frustrating it is. We want to help change that.

After a successful three-year run at Sportsnet New York, we’ve decided to go out on our own. Our goal is to give you everything you want — player/coach interviews, analysis from some of the best hockey writers across North America, the ability to call in and chat with us, live shows … everything you deserve. We felt going independent was the only way to accomplish all of these things and more.

But this isn’t about us. It’s about you. It’s time to give you what you want, and, more importantly, what you deserve. We know how passionate you are about the Islanders. It’s time to show everybody else who thinks you’re not. There’s a decent chance back in the day, you high-fived one of us in the 300s at the old barn after an Islanders goal. We know how much you care.

With that said, we’re going to need your help. A lot of the success of this show will depend on word of mouth. You may notice a “Donate” button at the bottom of the site. If you’re willing to help in that regard, we’d greatly appreciate it. If you were a fan of the Point Blank Podcast, tell your friends what we’re about, how much you enjoyed listening. Tell them about Isle Seat.

We’re hoping Isle Seat will be your go-to place for New York Islanders hockey talk. We hope you’re as excited as we are.

  1. This is awesome! Thank you for thinking of the fans! We are a passionate bunch. Looking forward to more continued success!

  2. Cant wait for the show, living in Toronto sucks cause all I hear is when JT is going to sign with the Leafs. And we all know that Garth won’t let that happen……

  3. This is awesome. Glad you guys are still going to be on the air – you’re my go-to podcast for what’s up with our loveable/maddening team.

  4. Point Blank was exactly what a podcast should be – under 30 min, meat-and-potatoes talk, a dash of personality. Very listenable. Must-listen if you’re a fan of the subject matter (Islanders, in this case). Excited about new platform/format/content.

  5. Looking forward to what’s in store. Hopefully the Isles can find a home, so you guys can be broadcasting for many years to come. # 1 Islanders fan in Canada!!

  6. Just realized there was that “Pilot” episode out there… loved it! Same old good content; don’t need to change a thing! Smart analysis from two very likable and entertaining guys…
